Bjork's Hood

So I'm writing this entry because Katty has just come up with another crazy plan. For some reason, most of the time, we go through with it. And then we end up hyping each other up so much that we just cannot back down after such great expectation and multitude of energy. The plan: we decided to vacation in Iceland! This decision was made within an hour after the idea being mentioned. And with such a short time-span, that makes the spontaneity of it all. It went something like "Wanna go to South America?" "Maybe...Any other ideas?" "Iceland?" "YES!" and then we spent the next hour seriously researching costs and flights.

But in my situation, I'm still 50/50. I just got a job at a new tutoring place that pays a lot and a possible second job at a dessert shop. So not sure yet on asking for vacation. Also, the whole reason I'm working is mainly to save up for my month-long Mongolia trip. At this point, I think I might have to choose... Teach abroad in Mongolia for a month interacting with local kids and meeting new people like me from around the globe and experience a great frontier....... or......... vacation like it's 1999 in Iceland with one of my best friends with the greatest fcuking deal an American dollar can find in that country (for a week)? Iceland will obviously be half the cost of Mongolia. But will also be 1/4 the amount of time. Decisions.

I currently do not enjoy my job btw. But that's why I'm still intent on working at the dessert place even though it pays half than what I'm getting at the tutoring center.
