SANTA DELIVERED

Okay, in contradiction to my post below, I must admit that no matter what, we are all still material girls. Ya just can't help it. And so I failed to mention the most ultimate present that I asked for this year. Beyond my brother's scarf.... he also bought me a Janome Mini Sewing Machine. I nearly cried when I opened it. I hugged it, wanted to kiss it, and held it in my arms for a good minute or two yesturday evening. I have been wanting this baby for MONTHS. It was sold out at home depot and sold out at other stores. I was sad. But my brother got it at overstock.com for me, luckily.

There have only been three gifts I've ever gushed a tear for in front of everyone: sold-out Coldplay tickets, Ren & Stimpy stuffed animals, a trampoline, and now the fourth is this sewing machine. I'm hugging it right now!!!!!!!!! (Yeah, I know. Billy, my rabbit, should've made me tear but the truth is I was a little scared at the fact that I had a flesh and blood animal in my arms! But trust me, Billy is definitely still tops as the best present I've ever recieved - Thanks Ann & Lilly)

And ok, why a sewing machine?? Well, I guess only a few of my close friends know that I actually sew pillows on my spare time. I don't know why, I just like making pillows... I try to make stuffed animals too but they never look that great, so I stick with square cushiony products called pillows.

I wished it had like a number name like the "Janome T5600" or something so I can show it off more professionally.... but anyways, ISN'T IT CUTE AND AWESOME???? It definitely is one of the ten things I'd come running out with if my house was on fire.

YAY! Congrats on your sewing machine. There's a lovely website I frequent: www.threadbanger.com , lots of do it yourself goodness involving a sewing machine and using old items to create new stuff-- upcycling <3. I purchased a sewing machine on a whim and I use it for simple things like hemming skirts and stuff. I used it to change a pair of old jeans into a jean mini! There's lots of cool tutorials and stuff all over youtube too!! good luck, my dear :)
