Holy freakin' crap. Why did I never bother to stop by that stamp store on 11th street and 2nd avenue? I always walked passed it, saw a big jolly guy making rubber stamps in a cramped cosy store full of stamp designs, and felt too meek to check it out since the whole place was the size of my closet. I seriously always wanted to go in, try out a few stamps, or make my own! I regret it now... seeing how I just found a new hobby of mine: Rubber stamping and rubber stamp collecting. After all, I was known as the thumbprint artist at Barney. I don't know why I didn't go more in depth with this medium. Now I'm streaming with ideas. You'd think stamping is a lazy man's version of print-making, although I see it as an entirely new art form. Anyways, just check this guy out. I don't think there's anyone like him around. What a cool guy. I want his job.

Look at this detail. Amazing. Shoot, I used to be so into rubber stamps as a kid. I even have a stamp that stamps my full name. But I guess I just grew out of it and forgot. How silly of me. Now I'm gonna order a crapload from him. (I haven't been so excited in a while)

ooh i remember this place! i never went in it either, even tho i passed it so often too. u should get a custom made one! like, your thumb print! then you don't have to get your real thumb all dirty. or a pic of your face. now i want one, haha. sigh, yea i miss nyc so much! esp. all the little stores. it would be SOO MUCH EASIER to find dresses, cake platters, inspiration & creativity. sigh. i'm hoping to go there sometime in the spring. are u planning on going there anytime soon?
