Graffiti?

Yes, welcome to my new blog. No more xanga, since everyone from when I was born, thru high school, and thru college can read it. This is a fresh start. I don't have to worry about certain people whom I don't approve reading about my life. These people have traumatized me like no other, in ways I could not have imagined them doing to me. But the fact that they read my xanga, just upsets me more.

So, you're thinking why the name Graffiti? Well, it was the official sorority name given to me by my dear Big Sister, Lillian Lam =). I was knighted with a sword and she branded me with a hot iron stick. I guess I can't give the entire definition of why she chose that name since it is a Kappa Phi Lambda secret. But I think it has to do with obvious reasons like I was an art student, I had my fair share of tagging, and she said she got the idea from this video game called Jet Set Radio. I've never played it but as I am reading the entire premise of the game on wikipedia, I can see that she did really capture the essence of my hobbies at that time: being a DJ, spray-painting, and skateboarding. Thank you McBiggie -_^.

Alright enough about the name. So, yeah. I guess nothing new! The last semester of my college career is coming to an end. I've been in college for what, 5.5 years now! Lotsa money down the drain. But I'll be spending another 4 years in optometry school starting August 16th, 2009. Whoopie! That gives me about 8 months of absolutely no studying. Thank goodness! It's been one helluva ride switching from art school to science school. So I'll be working two jobs, dj-ing for Rice University Radio, and traveling abroad for the summer.

Wonder how everyone else's been doing? I'll tell you right now, I miss New York quite a bit! But I'm sure everyone there is hanging around just fine if not awesome. Everyone's got their careers, graduate studies, and domestic life going. I'll come back...hopefully. I'll definitely try to do my externship rotations there sometime in the near... future....

Anyways, on a random side note. Wanna see what Hurricane Ike did to my current college? Purdy crazy huh? That's like a 100 ft metal billboard next to the entrance of the campus. Wind ripping metal and glass apart.
